I had a feeling this was gonna happen someday. Too bad I only use an IPad, so I can’t really recommend a “tablet” tablet.

Most of the stuff you see on my profile from 2023 to even now was drawn with a mouse, so over the years I've gotten pretty proficient with mouse-drawing. But the minute I started using my sister's tiny XP-Pen tablet to draw my newest comic, man, it was like Forrest Gump running with his leg braces falling off. I don't think I ever want to go back to drawing with a mouse if I didn't have to.

Definitely try to save up some money to get yourself a tiny little tablet. Wacom, Huion, XP-Pen, it doesn't really matter, as long as you have one. Otherwise, you're gonna have to make do with the mouse.

I suggest a Gaomon tablet, those things are reasonably priced abd pretty good. But they do require to act as the main screen on a tower or laptop pc, but that's what I used for my comics before my PC blew up 😅

I despise screenless but since you're so used to using a mouse it would probably be better for you than a screen tablet. Wacoms are a good brand if you want to emulate a mouse like a pen, pretty cheap in comparison to most of the high end drawing stuff. Otherwise just use a stylus on a tablet or something like that. I use a stylus on a laptop so anything goes :P

Nah, when you have a crappy mouse, it is very frustrating XD I have a wired one right now and it gets tangled while I'm trying to draw and it just drives me nuts haha

Bro every digital piece i ever throw out is made with a 23 year old,now piss yellow,logitech mouse,connected to a 23 year old 32bit pc.
My first ever piece posted was with the line tool,before i even knew tf layers were properly.
Stabilizers change a lot,you will adapt more eventually.
So get back on that grindset soldier.

Mouse to tablet is def a huge change, one being the tablets usually having pressure sensors. so it'd take other kinds of challenges and adjustments.

I've tried Wacom Intuos Draw at middle school art club, and it's not bad.
I currently use ipad and apple pencil 2 but i also have Wacom Intuos Pro S (2017-the design changed now) which i passed it down to another sibling. difference from that and intuos draw would be amount and position of buttons, which is used for ctr z and other shortcuts.
Other then that... if there's a shop or some kind of place you can try out tablets in your region, I'd recommend that you go check it out. tablet size, screenless/screenful and pen grip matter a lot.
