I’ll be honest: so far, it feels like a life lesson or a generic character story, which isn't a bad thing, since that’s exactly the message they want to convey before the final panel. It makes me nostalgic, not because of the story itself, but because it reminds me of the comics I made back in 2019, good times.

Now, considering how long this took you, I’d recommend practicing gesture drawing and drawing primitive shapes in perspective—a lot. I like the effort you put into every single panel, but the character can get lost in them due to the lack of contrast. You don't have to be so detail-oriented; you can simplify things beforehand to make the process easier.

As for the speech bubbles: sometimes the text is very small, which doesn't make sense given how large the panels are. This probably happens because you put so much effort into the backgrounds. I recommend doing the text before the backgrounds and learning to break up dialogue evenly so you don't end up with too much text in a single panel.

The anatomy and proportions are sometimes spot-on and sometimes a bit off (lol), but hey, it’s all about keeping at it. I don't know if this is your first comic, but if it is, it's really good. I’m in no position to judge, since I haven't published one myself lol. Good luck developing the rest pal

Now to answer your question yes this is technically my first comic and honestly, I am amazed that I put so much effort into this as it took me two years to get part one done, but I appreciate that you love it

Though I will say that I am learning how to do basic shaping and anatomy at the time of writing this, but yeah I will take your advice to learn gesture drawing because that’s something I’ve been sleeping on for a long time as well as like the perspective, but I will promise you that part two will actually feature better designs, and artworks as I begin to learn more and more how to do things

But yeah, even though the story kind of feels generic at first it’s actually a lead up to what’s to come in the second part
